So, I’ve basically felt like ugh since Sunday.   You know, when you just feel like you’re in a blah mindset?  Yeah, it happens to me too.   It doesn’t help that Aunt Flow came into town and wrecked my world on Sunday too.     But aside from that lovely side note, I’ve just been super frustrated.   The Wodapalooza qualifier just isn’t going the way I planned – I’m not sitting in a qualifying spot right now, which really sucks.  I don’t know how I can qualify for pro for Crush Games and then literally be at the bottom of the barrell for Wodapalooza.     Pretty much, I’m just feeling like throwing myself a pity party.  I’m just bummed at life currently.      And, by currently, I mean in this moment.  In this exact moment.  It will pass, and I know that.     That’s what I want to stress this week.   That that feeling of ugh happens to us all.   We all get overwhelmed, frustrated, and disappointed in ourselves.  Life isn’t all rainbows and butterflies.     Even those of us that look like we have our shit together – like I might […]

If you can’t catch my hint of sarcasm, well, then we gotta take a break for a second.   In all my years, I have come to the conclusion that you can NOT get a firm ass without hard work – it just isn’t possible (well unless you have some kind of plastic surgery).     There is no special gel, pill, or supplement that makes cellulite melt and turn into rock solid muscle.     So, to say that any supplement can do such a thing is just poor advertising and flat out wrong.   Now, this criticism doesn’t apply to just one nutrition company, hence the blocking of the brand name in the picture above.  ALL COMPANIES and their representatives are guilty of doing this type of branding that is clearly false.   My question is this:  If your product really works, why not use results from people who have truly used the product and see improvement.     There is not one single sane person on the internet right now thinking that these two butts are the same.  It is so evident that they are two different people.  In fact, it’s almost shameful to use the before […]

Please, say it isn’t so.   There is a human, on this planet, that is LITERALLY eating herself to death.     As a model for ‘Supersized Big Beautiful Women’, 27 year old Monica Riley is on a mission to consume as much food a day as possible.  In fact, she consumes up to 8,000 calories a day and is gaining an insane amount of weight every month.   Her goal, in fact, is to be bedridden and left immobile.   And, the icing on the cake, no pun intended, is she and her “feeder” boyfriend want to have a baby.  A BABY!   Stop.  Let’s stop right there.  What in the actual …….   I guess I just have a really hard time understanding why this kind of thing has become socially acceptable.     If you click on the link at the bottom of this post, you will be connected to the Facebook post where I initially saw this story.     What is shocking to me is that there are many positive and encouraging messages to Monica and her journey.  I can appreciate kindness towards her cause but at some point, doesn’t a person’s overall health and […]

We’ve all been there.   We’ve all wanted to do something in the past but, for whatever reason, we held ourselves back.   Maybe it was talking to the cute boy in math class.  Maybe it was signing-up for an event you didn’t think you could win.  Or, maybe it was taking the next step towards a goal you thought was too lofty and unachievable.   Guess what?  New Flash:  If you don’t take that next step, it is never going to happen.     What’s the worst thing that can really happen.  You fail?  The answer to your question is no?   Or, even better, you succeed!   One of my favorite people in the world took a leap of faith and applied for something that most of us would just dream of.  What was the worst thing that could happen … they could have said no.   But they didn’t.     In fact, the answer was the complete opposite.  Tomorrow she heads to Cali for a two day adventure.  An adventure that would have never happened had she been too scared to apply.  Too timid to trust herself and her abilities.     You see, if you don’t […]
